Hosver opens new site in China

Short News

Hosver opened a new production facility last week in Suzhou, China. The opening ceremony brought together representatives from the political and business communities as well as the Komax Group. We attended the event and invite you to experience it through our video and photo gallery.

In high spirits at the opening ceremony (from left): Kaihua Wu (Operation Vice President at Hosver), Claudio Bartesaghi (Vice President Group Human Resources at Komax), Weijing Pu (Deputy District Mayor of Xiangcheng District, Suzhou), Jeffrey Zhang (Managing Director at Hosver), Zhidong Shen (Secretary of CPC Xiangcheng District Committee, Suzhou), Andreas Häberli (CEO a.i. at the Komax Group), Sacha Bachmann (Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai), He Le (Secretary of the Party Leadership Group & Director, Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government), Jürgen Hohnhaus (Executive Vice President and member of the Komax Group Executive Committee) and Li Wei (Sales Director at Hosver).

Last week, the moment finally arrived: After approximately two years of construction, the new Hosver production facility in Suzhou was officially inaugurated in the presence of representatives from the political and business communities as well as the Komax Group. The state-of-the-art factory “is far more than concrete, steel, and glass,” said Jürgen Hohnhaus, Executive Vice President and member of the Komax Group Executive Committee, in his opening remarks. Upon entering the new building, he said he felt “the pride, energy, and entrepreneurial spirit” that have made Hosver successful since its founding in 2014.

With its new production facility, located about one kilometer from its previous building, Hosver is strengthening its operational base in Suzhou. At the same time, the Komax Group is creating a platform to further expand its customer proximity, local expertise, and product development in China. The ambition is clear: quality, innovation, speed, and trust form the foundation for further development. With a clear focus on customized solutions for the processing of data- and high-voltage cables required in electric-powered vehicles.

Between light metal research and quantum technology
Hosver has been part of the Komax Group since 2024 and is China’s leading manufacturer of equipment for high-voltage cable processing. The new production facility that Hosver has rented offers space for production, engineering, administration, a showroom, reception areas, meeting rooms, storage areas, and a restaurant. Currently, more than 140 Hosver employees are operating in the new building in Suzhou's Xiangcheng District, which is rapidly developing into a high-tech industrial cluster focused on future technologies. The focus lies on smart, connected new-energy vehicles as well as research and development into advanced materials, specifically metal alloys that are lightweight yet highly durable. The Xiangcheng District is also home to so-called future industries such as quantum technology and embedded intelligence, which provide systems that integrate data directly into machines and processes, and enable real-time processing.

Located in one of the world’s strongest economic regions and one of China’s most important industrial and innovation hubs, production has started in the new Hosver building. We were there for the opening ceremony and invite you to experience the event through our photo gallery and video.
