An unforgettable week of trade fairs
Inside Komax
Munich, Nuremberg, Grafenau – three places in Germany that were honored with a world premiere at the same time. Komax and Schleuniger made a joint appearance at trade fairs for the first time and thrilled visitors with their cutting-edge solutions. Here’s a glimpse of what proved an exciting trade fair week.
“It’s great to see that we’ve taken a major step forward in our bid to revolutionize automated wire processing!” That was the satisfied verdict of Matijas Meyer, CEO Komax Group, after a busy week of trade fairs in Germany. In mid-November the Komax Group simultaneously presented its innovative solutions at three trade fair booths occupying a total of 1,800 m². At productronica in Munich, at SPS in Nuremberg, and at Komax SLE’s In-House Show in Grafenau, visitors were given a live presentation not only of present-day wire processing but also of what the future holds.
Solutions from a single source
At these events, Komax and Schleuniger made their first joint appearance, and on the three (Nuremberg) or four (Munich and Grafenau) trade fair days they immersed themselves into a world of innovation and technology that drew thousands of visitors. Whole value chains rather than just individual products were under the spotlight: by joining forces with Schleuniger, the Komax Group now boasts a uniquely wide range of products and services spanning the Komax, Schleuniger, adaptronic, Cirris, DiIT, and WUSTEC brands. Customers thus benefit from all solutions right across the value chains from a single source.
Boost to productivity and flexibility
At the three fairs, the Komax Group was able to demonstrate to visitors that its solutions boost productivity and flexibility while delivering quality at the first go. At Munich the focus was on solutions in the following areas: high-voltage (e-mobility), high mix – low volume (small batches), sequence production, batch production with the new IQC technology (rapid set-up and changeover), and production planning (software solutions). In addition, the Komax Group presented the comprehensive range of services it offers which, among other things, serve to optimize processes while reducing costs.
In Nuremberg the main emphasis was on innovations in wire processing for control cabinet building. The Komax Group demonstrated how its solutions allow control cabinet wiring times to be shortened by up to 80%, thus cutting costs dramatically. At the In-House Show in Grafenau, too, Komax and Schleuniger presented cutting-edge technologies for processing data cables and in quality monitoring.
This first joint appearance by Komax and Schleuniger was a resounding success – and many more are sure to follow.
