As a Computer Scientist Platform Development you are responsible for our physical and virtual servers. You plan our local area networks (LAN), select suitable network components, install and configure them.
Your responsibilities include programming, planning, installation, training, operation and maintenance of IT systems and applications. In particular, you will deal with the networking of servers, data security issues, transmission, acquisition and control systems and the hardware of individual devices.
In the first year of your apprenticeship, you will work in Rotkreuz in our learning workshop with other apprentices in a team. In the second year of your apprenticeship, you will move to Dierikon to the internal IT department.

What you do exactly
Management and maintenance of physical or virtual server systems and services
Planning of local area networks (LAN); selection of suitable network components and their installation and configuration
Concern for the security and availability of systems and services and the performance of the network
Responsible for data security and data protection
What you should bring with you

School requirements
- Secondary school level A, grade point average ≥ 4.4
- Secondary school level B, grade point average ≥ 4.8
- High school, grade point average ≥ 4.3
- Good assessment for work and social behavior
