Matrix Line
Introduction
The matrix system from Komax Solar consists of a series of integrated standard machines that are easily adaptable to most processes specified by the customer. Our reliable techno-logy ensures gentle handling of individual solar cells, strings and fully laid-out lateral or longi-tudinal solar cell matrices (column or line arrangement). The system is built for fully automatic stringing, layup, and busing and has a modular design to accommodate additional string testing units or manual testing stations.
Bussing
Komax Solar offers a manual and an automatic bussing system for its integrated matrix machine. The manual version involves a station in which the solar matrix is inspected manually by an operator. The automatic station is designed for the processing of up to 20MW per station (with a longitudinal or lateral orientation).
The automatic station has two robots and produces the bus strips from a reel, trimming and forming the material as required. The station is designed to process matrix tabs projecting above and below the end of the solar cell matrix. An integrated optical monitoring system is used for inspecting the tabs at the end of each string and for determining the correct position of the bus strip for soldering. The bus strips are soldered on the spot in an induction soldering process that delivers repeatable results of top quality.
Lamwiching
At the end of a 40 MW matrix assembly system, our Lamwich cell goes into action, handling the solar cell matrix prior to lamination. This cell fully automatically processes glass and EVA, the cell matrix and the back-side foils (with optional hole punching), ensuring correctly assembled solar modules.
