Introduction
The CSU module is the new generation of intermediate stripper.
The cutting head and other components were completely redesigned, resulting in improved
accessibility and simpler and faster conversion.
Key features:
- Reliable intermediate stripping technology
- Improved cutting head
- Better monitoring of the process thanks to the transparent safety cover
- Reliable and neat cut-out of insulation
- Superb ease of operation
- Ultra short conversion times
Function
The CSU module is utilized as a preliminary station to the Komax fully automatic
crimping machines and for intermediate stripping of stranded wires.
With the CSU module, insulation is always stripped reliably and neatly. Operation
is fast and simple, as is the procedure for changing to a different wire size.
Quality
Prerequisites for top quality intermediate stripping:
Good quality intermediate stripping depends mainly on factors like wire size, wire
tolerance, insulation thickness, stripping length, etc. The thinner a wire, the shorter the maximum
possible stripping length.
Dimensional accuracy is particularly important with thin-walled wires. If the wire
is not dimensionally true, the insulation might not be able to be fully removed or the strands/cores
might be damaged.
Insulation thickness and hardness are also crucial factors for the quality of insulation
removal in intermediate stripping.
With thicker and harder types of insulation, stripping is easy and neat, because
the insulation does not yield while being cut.
