ImprintKomax 351 – barcode reader
Introduction
The Komax 351 barcode reader was created to assure quality by guaranteeing that the right material is always used.
Function
The barcode reader consists of a wireless hand scanner with display and a base station connected to the basic machine via a serial interface.
Before the Komax 351 is operated, all modules, tools and components (wires, terminals, etc.) are assigned bar codes.
When a job is loaded, all the required parts are read-in with the hand scanner using the corresponding bar codes. The user is notified immediately by a message on the display if the scanned data does not correspond to the specified values for the loaded job. When the hand scanner is returned to the base station, it transmits the data to the machine. Production cannot start until all required scans have been done. This assures quality and reduces rejects to a minimum.
