Introduction
If a company wishes to economically manufacture a large number of different product versions of consistent quality in small production volumes, it must combine automated and manual assembly stages. Komax AG, Stans has successfully specialized for years in manumation – i.e. the combination of man and machine. It is also an established specialist in lean manufacturing.
The functional components, designed in-house, are outstanding in terms of simplicity, robustness and reusability. The modular design of the Sigma transfer systems makes it possible to adapt the assembly flow to new requirements in very short order.
